National Orchestra of Chile

Andrew Gourlay returns to the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Chile as part of the opening season in Chile’s brand new concert hall, VM20. Gourlay is conducting two weeks of programmes in the new hall, which has been decades in the making. The space has been designed to house rehearsal rooms for the Chilean National Ballet and University choirs, as well as the country’s first large-scale symphonic hall, dedicated to the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Chile.

Porto Returns

Following on from recent visits to the Casa da Música, Andrew Gourlay returns to the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música for multiple weeks in both ‘25 and ‘26. Programmes include four premieres, such as a new concerto from Igor C Silva for improvising soloists and electronics, and the world premiere of a concerto for synthesizer and orchestra by Gabriel Prokofiev, alongside Sergei Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet, and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

BBC Radio Scotland: Listen Again

Listen back to Andrew Gourlay conducting the broadcast Grand Final of BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Classical Musician 2025. The Grand Final featured three young concerto soloists performing with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, followed by a performance of Tchaikovsky by the BBCSSO and Gourlay.

Belfast Emperor

Andrew Gourlay returns to the Ulster Orchestra at Ulster Hall on 10 October 2025. The programme pairs Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 Emperor with pianist Vadym Kholodenko and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, opening with the world première of Amelia Clarkson’s The Rain Keeps Coming, an Ulster Orchestra commission.
